All puriFlash silica columns (SIHC, SIHP) are stable in 100% methanol. Stability is attributed to the high purity silica and the spherical shape. Conventional flash grade silica is irregular shaped and is typically not recommended for use in more than 10% methanol.

It is possible to re-use puriFlash SIHC and SIHP columns by flushing with 100% methanol followed by air.
