Ultra Performance Flash Purification (UPFP)

UPFP = High Efficiency Columns + High Flow Rates

Interchim has greatly improved the throughput in flash purification with the introduction of UPFP. By reducing the particle size in the columns and increasing the flow rate, purification can now be done three times faster, drastically reducing run times.

The seven minute run in the graph to the right uses a 15µ, 25g column at 40 ml/min. The resulting flow is double the rate which is typically considered for a 25g column. Despite the increased flow rate, resolution is superior to a standard 40-60µ column and completed in a fraction of the time.

Increased pressure is a factor in UPFP, but it is easily managed with columns that are stable to 320 PSI / 22 bar. The puriFlash system is rated to 425 PSI / 30 bar.

The puriFlash HP 30µ columns operate at the same pressure when compared to conventional 40-60µ flash columns. This is a result of the highly efficient spherical silica improving flow mechanics and permeability.
